15:04 ET Treasury Market Summary
Treasuries are wrapping up the day a tad off their lows, with the ten-year note off 6/32nd's to yield 3.56%. The tone in the market has been just awful all week, particularly since 14:15 ET on Wednesday. What we really need here is some positive news - something to rally on. With the ten-year testing the 3.60% level, we would be cautious here. Particularly, if next week's economic data (such as Tuesday's ISM and Thursday's payrolls) do not come in appreciably weaker than expected, this market will continue its descent; merely "in line" data will not turn this market around, especially not during a holiday-shortened workweek. Please visit our Bond Brief page for a "hot off the presses" detailed outlook for next week.
