Nah ... Something tells me that Davis won't lose his job. California is a
Democratic state ... He would have to "screw-up" big time to lose
his job.

Yeah California has suffered a lot in this downturn. In Silicon Valley one job in every six( > 16%) has been lost, and this is the worst recession since the Great Depression. Consequently the State Tax Receipts have collapsed. Schools are reducing teachers,libraries are being closed and policemen are being laid off too. So everyone is angry and mad.

The Democrats point the finger at Bush for the present dire economic state, and the Republicans blame Davis. So the Davis recall movement is a Republican ploy to deflect the anger from Bush to Davis.

All this partisan politics is not solving the economic mess.
