ho ho ho bubba... now you know what you bought

so what are you and junior going to do about bringing it back to the vision?

whine?

that would be a major snooze fest.

but since you brought it up

what are you going to do?

your focus on TOS violations since returning is rather sad in comparison to your concerns regarding just what it is you OWN.

but hey, according to matt, this is all about flip flopping into a profit... his basic words in a local interview. and sadly, his idea of a business. we generate the traffic, you guyz flip flop. nice.

guess what.. new ball game happening. can't you tell?

you wanna charge people to run a series of over priced starbucks.. have at it. but your return thus far has far from encouraged the investment groups. trust me. i've been around long before you ever came on board.

btw... in case matt didn't tell you, you owe me an apology.. PM will be just fine big guy.

also as a business owner.. your bio looks like crap IMO. get a fricken profile dude. just my free advice.

Bob,

You are right. There is meanness rampant on SI. This guy is an example, Message 19068562

The market has been tough for a few years now. Decimalization killed the spread, making markets (MM) became less profitable. Retail investors are scared after being burned. Corporate scandals dominate the news. Investors have gone into hiding. While there are plenty of opportunities to make money, it’s harder to find the opportunities. It’s more important now to have a place to learn about or discuss investments then those times when everything went up regardless of quality.

The political threads and CFZ threads seem to breed a kind of mean poster that would rather spit in your face then shake your hand when you first meet.

I’m not sure what I would do about this situation but a few permanent bans for being a mean spirited persona wouldn’t seem out of line to me.

BTW, saying someone is an Arrogant Ass is ok, saying someone is an Arrogant asshole is over the line.

bob, i've been personally attacked. someone i've never met, and have never exchanged a single post, has tried to make his case against my questions to you, simply by implying intoxication.. a rabid violation of TOS.

please take action.

thanks.

I don't know what the economics are but, unlike some, I recognize that you have to make money to have a great web site. I'm sure that's your goal.

I agree that the political discussion threads should go. Are they populated by paid members? It seems like they are a haven for anti-Americans and bigots of all stripes. In fact, right before you took over, one of the threads had a number of anti-Semites who apparently had hijacked unused names. How they did this without inside info from SI I have no idea. Their posts were extreme and, of course, many of us attacked the attackers. I think it was SI Jeff who finally agreed with one of the posters who reported TOU that several names had been hijacked by these mindless idiots.

I've had to hit myself a couple of times for responding and getting down and dirty with the worst of them.

I'd prefer to talk business strategies. I know I'm not forced to wallow there but you know what they say about "attractive nuisances?"

Here is one of the most non-stock profiles I have ever seen. You have to wonder why he hangs around a stock chat site....

What bugs me is that such a large number of people (or maybe just a relatively few very prolific people) see this as a playground message board

this is a playground, bob, and not a very entertaining one at that anymore.

most of the good market-related stuff has moved on. there are a bunch of people here whose forever-memberships predate the bull and subsequent/current bear slaughters and don't really have any reason to talk shop because - let's be blunt - they aren't even in the game anymore.

i abandoned my hotlist board and moved to iHub, even though my posting privileges don't follow me over there and i'm limited to 18 a day, because my goal is to make money and that's where i'll find more similarly-focused people.

not here.

here all you have left is the dregs, the WtF GoDolts of the chat world, who couldn't successfully invest a nickel in a slot machine if the clouds opened up and G-d himself pointed at the jackpot-ripe machine. but it doesn't stop them from running around like 4 year olds with a megaphone, a speech impediment, and an unfilled ritalin prescription.

you want to make me happy? (don't answer that truthfully, lol) move my membership to iHub and kill my SI membership. as it stands now you're losing two ways: not interested in contributing here where i can, can't contribute there where i feel comfortable doing so.

the quality isn't coming back here, consider yourself lucky that much of it went to your other site.
