Absolutely NOT, to the contrary, more insecure.

Today I read somewhere that there is a good possibility for a nation-wide revolt in Iraq. So if you think now 1 US soldier dies a day is bad, wait for worse. Iraqi people has a long tradition (thousands of years old) to resist foreign invaders, and the US soldiers are invaders/occupiers.
