Even there were no faulty intelligence, the US would have invaded Iraq using some other excuse because of the oil. >>Are we any safer as a country<< Absolutely NOT, to the contrary, more insecure. Today I read somewhere that there is a good possibility for a nation-wide revolt in Iraq. So if you think now 1 US soldier dies a day is bad, wait for worse. Iraqi people has a long tradition (thousands of years old) to resist foreign invaders, and the US soldiers are invaders/occupiers.
