Kerry's problem-and the reason you won't have him to kick around no more by Christmas-is that he and Howard Dean are in a race to sell to the committed, passionate anti-American left. They comprise between 12% and 20% of the population (the former being Bill O'Reilly's estimate, the later being my own), but THEY will decide the 2004 Democrat nominee, because anyone with half-way accurate political advice is avoiding the race like a plague. But Kerry is LOSING that race to Dean, mostly BECAUSE that extreme domestic enemy, while insane, is VERY principled. Kerry, they see, has PRETENDED to be pro-American at times when he thought it would help his career. But Dean is PURE. The man has hated America since the day he was born (and, of course, wasn't HUMAN until that day, according to his left wing constituents). His record of treason is UNBLEMISHED. He is PURE Taliban, PURE Stalinist, PURE Saddam. Any way you slice it, Dean is an anti-American, anti-humanity, anti-liberty, anti-West rat-in-the-sewer. NO WAY can you even ATTEMPT to paint lipstick on THAT pig! And that's EXACTLY what those leftie Democrats are looking for...

For Dean, at the convention in 2004: Extremism in defense of America's enemies is no vice. Moderation in the fight for terrorists is no virtue. The American left will go down in 2004 with a big, big sucking sound, howling like Josif Geobbels all the way...
