What is particularly galling is the collateral damage. In order to take Davis out, they severely hurt millions. Many elderly people in CA were hit with a double whammy. First, skyrocketing energy bills while on a fixed budget. Second, many elderly people invested in PG&E/Edison as 'safe' dividend stocks.

A lot of right wingers like to think of Californians as 'hang gliding dot commers', and not as real, hardworking people from many walks of life. I guess that's the only way they can live with themselves, and not hang their heads in shame while they poke fun at the California Energy Heist.
