I certainly endorse moving quickly to solve all remaining problems of infrastructure, and to get substantial numbers of Iraquis back to work. I am not beyond considering various pacification options. I am simply not alarmed at this time........

I think that if we don't take these steps very soon, this Iraq war will mark the beginning of the Decline and Fall of the American Empire -- in Internet time.


If the rest of the world really thought so, the fear and loathing quotient would be much less, I think. What is feared is the Rise of the American Empire.
