Our country deserves better leadership... I'm an Independent who has voted for both Republicans and Democrats over the years...Yet, the right wing NeoCONS have hijacked the GOP and Bush has clearly failed to restore honor and integrity to the White House. I'm also in favor of fiscal responsibility, a multi-lateral foreign policy and significant steps to preserve our environment. Its becoming clear that we have an Administration that may have lied to various stakeholders to take us into a war -- this is very serious stuff and CONgress should hold some OPEN Watergate style hearings to get to the bottom of this...If Bush, Cheney & Co. lied to us about WMDs and an imminent threat in Iraq then they should be fired (maybe even BEFORE Nov. '04). If I were a die hard GOP supporter (and I'm not since I look for the best talent out there) I would want to clean house and try to find some honest candidates. Do you think CONgress will have the courage to do what is right for the country rather than what may be right for a party in the near-term...?
