I think it is much more likely that Bush was misled than that he out-and-out lied. Exaggeration is a tool of politicians and leaders, but a line has been crossed, it seems.

Either way, Bush has shown that the Bush Doctrine has failed. Either he lied, and showed how it can be misused, or he was misled, which shows how it can be abused. Thank Godness that it failed on the first try out, else we may have found ourselves in deep trouble somewhere like North Korea.

The Bush Doctrine: RIP 2002-2003.
