Good morning X,

No I haven't seen "Cradle will Rock". But I'm sure going to try to get it/ What could be better?, Art, Frida, music, politics, etc., passion for all.. <g>, A note just went in my wallet.

On to something else with art and politics. Looking at June 30 issue of the "The New Yorker", I noticed an ad on page 21 for "The Metropolitan Museum of Art". They were advertising, To quote..

"Art of the First Cities.... Mesopotamia's Golden Age... From ancient Iraq and surrounding cultures, a magnificent..."

And I thought, is this tacky or what?... We just invaded that country and are currently occupying it. Their museum just got ramsacked.... And to have an exhibit like that now, IMO, is so insensitive of their plight, their culture, their history, etc....While the Iraqi people live in horror. We live in abundance and show off their history.

It seems so callous, I can't believe it. What have some of US become? I just wonder who and what type are running that joint.

Maybe they just got some "new" old pieces, and they just couldn't wait.. <BNG>

Sadly,

m
