<<The USA protects property rights in the USA. Saddam didn't in Iraq. Many Iraqis think Americans are not
there to protect property rights but to confiscate property, oil, and bully Iraqis. >>>
And with some of the young ones we are taking their most priceless possession the AK47 or grenades which were their hope to progress , at least socially in their own local crowd, which were either stolen or given to them
Now they will have to get a job but lack the education and cannot picture progress from that effortout with some examples being set by their peers. . No matter what the US does, some (hopefully small), segment of they population will continue to blame and to dislike us. How could they have been wrong, when all they did was what the leader Saddam asked ?
Far better to let Iraqis lead the community as soon as possible-, not perfect since the blame could still be passed up the line to top. (the US) in the same manner that Blair and Bush and even Chirac are taking the heat today. Its lucky they are used to that, and got where they are today by withstanding insults and false accusations.
The final summary of Saddams WMD machine and the intelligence gathering operation will show that we had no choice but to assume he had them and will also untangle the puzzle as to what happened to them.
