que,
<<Unless I see a compelling E&P, I will hold my CRK and PXD>>

Why PXD instead of PXP?? On a pure valuation basis, PXP looks like a better opportunity.

PXD trades at 8 times consensus 2003 EPS of $3.00. PXP trades at 7 times 2003 projected EPS of $1.52.

(CRK trades at 7.4 times 2003 consensus EPS).

According to the Form 8-K (June 19, 2003), the combined PXP + TTEN proved reserves are:
Oil 246,369 MBbl
Gas 336,180 MMcf

"Standardized measure of discounted future net cash flows $1,232,947"
[in $Thousands, with 40.3 million shares outstanding]
