All I can do is get out of the way and warn as many of the people I care about as possible...

it won't help. I've been warning people for two years and most people I know view me as chicken little <ng>

Yes, get out the way, but where does one put their paper assets while one is in this mode.

BC:

That is all you can do. And of course, most will not listen. Worse, many will see you as a party pooper/scare monger.

I'm in the same mode. Putting away some gold stocks adding to the shorts and buying a few companies that I think "will do well in bad times". In the thirties, most of the population got slammed while a few added rather dramatically to their net worth. All any of us can do is post our best ideas, prepare for the coming "perfect storm" and hope our timing is reasonable.

Best, Earlie
