vt,
Is that <ANTICIPATE> or A-N-T-I-C-I-P-A-T-E?? <ggg> I did not want to paste much of SS's commentary so I pasted a very tiny snippet. <g> He did mention that TA can be used for very short term trading.

Unlik a disciplined trader like yourself I am still (after a lot of years) a bit ruled by greed and fear and get into trouble with too much trading on a shorter term basis. The one thing I need to learn, is when I have a 50% profit or more take some off the table instead of continuing to reach higher and then seeing the stock go back down.

Hey don't you wish we had a "roadmap" to profits?
tom

vt - I still use TA as a timing signal. But this got a little fuzzy these last years.
IMVHO, there are enough black-box timing systens around for tjose willing to subscribe.
Last eas the launch of of Maridome
equis.com
This would make all "contarrian" indicators available to the "black-boxes". No doubt, in my mind, that cvapital preservation has taken a step ahead. No CoTs, nor P/Es, ... are reliable anymoe as data became widely available.
So, in summary, we'll have to search for other indicators.
