But I will say this: if casinos in Vegas were caught pulling an ongoing stunt like was done here then a lot of people would land in prison - and as in the post you linked related to penny-stock scams, in the end we may see some of these people landing in jail. Just look at what happened to former Trading Places analyst Robert L. Bentley. He wanted to recently refinance his house. In order to do it, he had to petition the court for permission, as all of his assets have been frozen, now in receivership. Aside from Rea making the preposterous statement - under penalty of perjury - that he never made any securities recommendations, he also said I was banished from Trading Places in March 2000. Maybe instead of "Merlin" he should have called himself Henry VIII... Well, Mr. Merlin has got a problem with that statement, because at the same time he claims I was "banished" he in fact hired me as an analyst, which is how I learned of the kickback scheme. In fact, had I not seen operations from this vantage point, I'm sure I would not ever have uncovered the scheme. You see, I did save and copy my employment contract, and also invoices for payment. I filed copies with the Superior Court in May. I wonder how Mr. Rea will explain that away? As I said, luck has nothing to do with this case - three years and 5,000 hours of research does. There is one tenet of Sun Tzu with which I do happen to agree: "Most battles are won before they are ever fought." I did not come to court unprepared. Since October when the case was filed, some of the defendants have started covering their tracks, destroying the evidence contained in among other places, their websites. I remember this kind of actitivity is what got Andersen indicted and later convicted of felony obstruction of justice. Mssrs. Rea and Berber, if you're listening, I recorded your websites in their entirety starting in the summer of 2000. Wiping them out, erasing the record now won't do a bit of good - quite the opposite. I already saved on multiple storage media thousands of pages of those sites. You are too late. I am sure the defendants believe I have published all evidence I have obtained here at SI. A very bad mistake, which one of the defendants learned last week.
