Judging from nytimes.com / #reply-19070966, I'd guess privatization is more likely than "Iraqization". Serving in the military always has its dangers, in peace as well as in war. Other occupations are dangerous enough, too, see gransfors.com for example.

Not that I'd disagree in principle, but in practice, I sort of doubt it's going to be that big an issue, unless there's a big incident ala the Beirut Marine barracks. Of course, fear of a big incident makes it pretty hard for the military to do much constructively on the nation building front, but that's another story.
