'Animal in distress' turns out to be randy cow
ananova.com

Police called to an animal in distress in Germany found the cow was actually just being mounted by a bull.

A woman, from Travemuende, called police to say a cow in a nearby field was ill or being mistreated.

She had heard the animal bellowing loudly but when police arrived, they found she had misread the situation.

"The cow was bellowing indeed, but not from pain but from joy," according to the police report.

It describes how the animal was being mounted by "a three-year-old, attractive bull" and "appeared to enjoy his approaches".

Consequently, police decided not to intervene.
