This version does not give the story it's true justice... he did not realize his wife had fallen off the bike until 3 miles later when he went down. AND his foot was literally torn from his leg when he brushed the barrier. He did not realize he was injured til he tried to use his leg to prop himself up at a stop light. He went down to the pavement at this point. A motorist who was following the biker ran up to help. He told the biker he would need his belt and the biker told him... No F'n way I am giving you my belt. I guess he did not think a tourniquet was in order. greenvilleonline.com
