You are way too good a spelur to make the mistake/typo of pesism for pessimisim. (disconcerting lack of false hope) so what does pesism mean? Perhaps you mean Pezism as in Murray the Pez. Pezism is the tendency to keep drilling away endlessly until you finally hit an orebody. It is also called Kaufmannitis after the saturation prospecting techniques of eponymia practiced at Hud Bay in Manitoba in years gone by.

It was remarkable successful in both above cases. Spend the money, find the ore. If yer smart that is. Helps to be able to narrow 'er down, as Jim Norrie found out.

It is far more likely you will be able to find an orebody than you will be able to find the money to develop one.*
