you and I are on the same page. Some people here were against the war from day one. I wasn't, I actually wasn't sure. But this complete lack of WMD evidence vs. the song and dance we heard while the war was being sold to the world is unacceptable to me.

When the war was going on, or immediately afterwards you didn't see the media openly questioning Bush policies. Now it is all over the place, thank god. For a while I was wondering where our press went.

After the "performances" of the last few months I never assume that Bush is speaking truthfully -- whether it is stupidity or guile is an important detail. But the inability of the president of the United States to make a truthful declaration to Congress and the American people over a matter as serious as going to war, and the first war under his new "doctrine" of preemptive war no less, is deeply, deeply disturbing whether it is incompetence or outright lying. I view Cheney as only slightly more evolved than a snake -- and at least a snake has a good excuse for being a snake.
