bdog, last time i called qcom an overflated pig... it was $170 and was an overflated pig. how is that contrarian? -lol-

it isn't nearly so expensive now, so i keep an eye on it. however, nobody here can tell me if cdma is gaining in market share... just like almost all the folks here want to pretend qcom insiders aren't selling this hot deal that is sure to go up.

do you know how much market share cdma is gaining, if any?

i just purchased a cell phone and thought seriously about going with verizon. well, they were too expensive. i ended up going t-mobile and picking up a nokia 3650 - which is a kick butt phone. i gave up a little service on fringe areas that aren't important to me to get a lot more minutes, a lot more features and reasonably priced phone - not to mention i can take my chip out and move my phonebook to another phone, should i decide to do just that.

i thought cdma was a lot less expensive than gsm. if so, why does verizon charge so darn much and effectively price themselves out of the market i was in?

just asking, but my guess is nobody knows the answer just like they don't know how much cdma is gaining or losing market share...
