Oops. Can I blame it on multi-tasking? My skimming skills aren't what they used to be...

The sentence, in my case, always reads "none of my skills are what they used to be."

I was struck by the existence of the article. Why would such a story be leaked? Is it what it purports to be, a simple indiscretion from a Bush or Pataki official, just wanting to see their words in a newspaper article? Or is part of some sort of plant? As in Schumer's got a ton of money, how do we slow down his contributions, well one way is to make it look as if he isn't going to have a genuine opponent. So he'll have a harder time raising money. Then spring some one on him who is strong at the last moment.

I get to that convoluted stuff by looking at the idiotic strategy. Why feel they can carry New York if the Schumer turnout is low?

Well, no answers or possible. But it's fun to rack up the questions.

And, looking at the issue from the standpoint of the NY Rep party, I agree with you. Which doesn't address the motives of the Bush people and why, most interestingly of all, if the article is right, Pataki would go along with it. Unless he wants to run and wants to spring it on everyone at th e last moment. But that doesn't make sense.

Just running in circles.

I'm not convinced holding the convention there gives Bush a bump that will last into the election.

I am wondering about the street demos. I expect the Dems to try to turn it into "Chicago 68" They have the Leftists in the city for it. John is getting to old to take a fire hose blast, but he would be willing to demo. :>)
