Tabloid really refers to the size of the paper, regardless of content. The Washington Times is a broadsheet...

TABLOID: "A newspaper of small format giving the news in condensed form, usually with illustrated, often sensational material."

Ah, touched a nerve, did I? Political tabloid, as in a newspaper with only a pecuniary and political agenda. The priority of getting the stories right is so far down the list, it wouldn't make Letterman's list.

Secondly, the NY Times was caught with the fake stories this year, not the WT.

Ah, makes my point. The WT makes up the story about the 9-11 curriculum stuff but the story lasts a couple of days only. And why. Because we don't expect any more from the WT, than that it be a "political tabloid."

But you don't improve your political position by constantly denigrating the WT, IMO.

Well, thanks for the advice. And to show my gratitude, let me offer some in return. If you take that sentence above, the one in italics, the one from your note, and you substitute NYTimes for WT, that's my advice back to you. It's really quite funny, you know.
