I feel rather certain that I could read this stuff thoughtfully and religiously and quickly identify internal inconsistencies which would condemn the matter. As you know, the Urantia Book has MANY authors, NONE of whom are identified PERSONALLY by name, but all of whom are identified by their "job-title", so to speak. I have read the book TWICE from cover to cover and can say this about it: -- I was initially VERY skeptical -- Certain chapters appear to have been written by the same individual (based on job-title and style of writing) -- There would appear to be about 100-150 separate authors -- I found NO inconsistency anywhere in the book in the presentations of these separate authors Even if you ignore the Spiritual content, and the 1,000 page life of Jesus (which I found by far the best presentation of Jesus I have ever encountered), the sections on the establishment of this world and the history of life on this world are quite unlike anything I have ever read. If one approaches it on the basis of: "this is possibly a work of fiction" then one is maybe more in the mode to appreciate the details of the story. Then one can ask oneself the question: "could this be true, or is it just BS?". Based on an actual encounter with the material, not hearsay, or presupposition. If you WANT to have your credulity boundaries stretched somewhat I would recommend the book to you. But if your main focus is to find the false masquerading as the real, then I think you would not really enjoy it, and would end up closing the book around or about page 8 (and not resuming). Namaste!
