cars are like women...
having more than one in your life at the same time
makes both suffer from lack of proper attention
and nurturing. if you love the lemans... set it free.
otherwise, sell the bronco (or whatever your other car
is).

That's good advice and makes a lot of sense.

However, the Lemans is not a car anymore.

It's a motorcycle.

Or it's a sailboat.

I should be able to drive those winding country roads past
the farms and hillsides in my Dodge Caravan and get the
same high, but for whatever reason, it is not as intense.

Perhaps it's the jingling sound of the tools and electrical
pipe fittings in the back of the minivan that take away
from the experience.

Or maybe it's the panoramic view of the ragtop and the
waterfall rush of fresh air that makes it seem better.

I don't know.

But each is perfect for their respective jobs at hand.
The minivan is a reliable long distance daily driver where
the ragtop is just plain cool and provides good vibrations.

Then again, maybe I'm just good at making excuses as to why
I want to keep 'er.

Perhaps I can substitute the word "Toys" for "Cars" in that
highlighted paragraph up above. That would mean no more
toys for me. One toy at a time. (Which also seems to suck
but is something that I suppose I could learn to embrace.)

P.S. kevin forgot to add that when you
clean the pebbles you should look them over very
closely and remove any dried pinto beans you might
find lurking among them.

LOL. I'll have to tell him.

His grandmother is heading back to Las Cruces today and he
told her he's going to write her a story each day and
e-mail it to to her so she will feel better about not being
here.

He's a thoughtful boy. I can't wait to see what sort of
stuff springs to life from that imagination of his.
