Mephisto,

Re: Have you read Bob Herbert's recent columns in The New York Times ?

A few of them. I tend to read Paul Krugman as often as possible. Some of Herbert's columns are on topics that don't interest me as much.

In my top tier, I regularly read Krugman, Arianna Huffington, Bob Scheer, William Rivers Pitt, Justin Raimundo, Robert Fisk, John Pilger, Greg Palast, Norman Soloman, Thom Hartmann, Ted Rall, Seymour Hersh and a few others.

In my mid-tier, I almost as regularly read Maureen Dowd, Helen Thomas, Richard Reeve, xymphora (a blog), Tom Friedman (often with dread at his bias), Michael Isikoff,
Media Whores Online (back in July), accuracy.org, fair.org, Jim Hightower, Texas Observer, New York Observer (especially Joe Conason).

And a whole lot more, just for balance. :)
