Mephisto, Thanks for posting the Herbert column. I wonder how many NY Times readers pay attention to him? I first got introduced to Herbert when he ran his series on Tulia, Texas. I'm gratified to see that he was part of the campaign to overturn the travesty of justice that went on down there in the Bible Belt. He hit the right themes in this recent column. Now if we could just get the Democrats to stop attacking each other in the primary, and start to assail Bush for ruining America, we'd be getting somewhere. Timid Dems is right. Although the media is more guilty than the Dems at giving Bush a free ride. -Ray
