re: the direction of the country. I believe that the pendulum swings to, and fro. I believe we are in the final stages of the 'swing to the right'. I believe, as with the last swings, that young people will lead us out of this dark period of right wing extremism. As far as the Constitutional Amendment, it could very well pass in such an environment. Which raises the question: can a Constitutional Amendment in itself be unconstitutional? Given the recent Supreme Court ruling, we could be heading for such a possibility.
