Kevin, That's a good tale, but quite frightening. Austin is probably one of the most progressive cities in the South. Yet even there, the religious lunatics have a grip on the society. It's really a shameful thing that this nation is backsliding into medieval thought so easily. The Enlightenment provided much greater intellectual discussion and rigor. I reflect upon the wretched, puerile posts that we endure here from the bulk of the RWE crowd and realize that democracy is a very fragile form of government, and the if the Right Wing has their way, it will be ended ASAP.
