ah i didn't finish reading your posat. the pearls i missed. -lol- a couple points, el guru. 1. pride cometh before a fall. 2. i'm not a wanton naysayer, as much as you'd like to try and fit me into that category. qcom was an overpriced pig at $150+ and i said as such. you disagreed and now the stock is where very few of you "gurus" thought it would be - at $35. i have gotten a couple compliments from folks who listened to my arguments and made out like bandits on qcom - while the "gurus" rode it down 80%+ from the outrageous top. don't be mad at me for that, though. 3. qualcomm is a tricky animal to me. at $35, there are some compelling arguments for purchasing some stock. however, they strike me as followers of shady accounting like many other companies. they report "hypothetical" pro forma earnings. they play the options game. the hide employee expenses from the income statement. this doesn't engender trust in my book - and trust is important to me. i'm not saying it isn't a good deal now, just that they don't make me feel comfortable. 4. i know the old data. i want current data. how much are they growing now. how much MORE market share are they expected to get the first half of 2003? how accurate has the estimator been in the past? you know, the important stuff, unlike the 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001 growth rates. then again, maybe i'm just swine and "don't get it" b/c i am jealous of all you wonderkinds in gurudom... -lol-
