As I understand it Marconi basically went bankrupt with the common stock holders losing most/all their money. Company reemerged from British form of bankrupcy intack (a lot smaller I believe) with the previous debt holders owning most of the company.

Marconi has a very large installed equipment base, lots of good (and loyal) customers and a go-forward financial structure.

MRVC deal with Marconi should be good (but as you say hard to quantify how good $$ wise). Would like to see MRVC set up similiar reseller approach with Marconi's competitors which includes (IMO) Alcatel, Nortel, Lucent, etc.

Now if I (or preferrably someone else) can only figure out exactly what hardware MRVC will be supplying to Marconi.

<<Can anyone comment about Marconi in so far as their business is concerned?>>

Lotam likes Marconi PLC (MCONY) marconi.com, a supplier of ATM, DWDM, and SDH hardware.

Here’s what he says about it:

“I bought Marconi because we’re one of their suppliers, so I know how aggressively they’re moving. I am sure that people are underestimating them. Ultimately everything will go to fiber, and on its own that makes them a good buy. There’s no downside. There’s only upside. Right now it’s boring but in six months you’ll see it climb, big time.”

Of course that was then!
