If Marconi has put a reorganization plan into effect and is indeed owned by its former creditors you can be sure it's "leaner and meaner" than its former self, if only to survive the present milieu. As to the marketability of its products, that's another story, but they were pursuing a very interesting area, FTTH, in the Atlanta area. I'm sure our GA-resident commentator-analyst can contribute something regarding that project - still ongoing? Quality and acceptance of the extremely high speed inherent in direct fiber links? Pricing? Downloading of movies and other video entertainment yet in place? The latter was one of the major promises (and premises) of fiber to the premises, i e home... TIA, Greg. Dee Jay
