Your case against polygamy is so weak, it almost makes me think that we should change the law to allow it. Does the fact that I carry my parents genes mean that, had my mother died, my father could not have remarried? Does it mean that, had a stepmother raised me, she would have had no moral claim on me, since we did not share genes? Does it mean that my parents claim on me is infinite, so that I would be remiss if I married without their permission (after all, it is their genes)? All that is reflected is a fact of biology, that one sperm and one ovum make conjoin to make a child. There is nothing that can be inferred from that about marriage customs.......
