I realise that I am often off centre and my favourite neighbourhood message board is incapable if properly evaluating the simple divergences of Canadian English from the American variant.. However I might be inclined to offer a donation in cheque form if they could rectify the situation.. :o) Even in the US there is English and then there is English.... Down in Greensboro NC where I did a lot of work in my younger days. I had a devil of a time speaking to workers and locals at times... I think they said they spoke English... Must have been a parallel dimension though..
