You're very welcome!

Formosa Keemun is one of my favorite teas, also.

And you're right; most places that sell loose tea have tea that is old and usually hasn't been stored properly. It will go through two or three distributors sitting for months in each place. Our local "gourmet" shop, where I used to buy tea before I discovered Upton, has some teas that have been sitting in bins on their shelves for two or three years; they bought a bunch once and just keep dumping more on top of it the shelf bin got down to half or so, but every now and then they would get down nearer the bottom, and ugh. And very few places really know the right way to handle and store tea.

It's nice that tea is finally, gradually, starting to gain respect and appreciation as part of a fine dining experience. I just hope that lots of people don't start jumping in just for the profit and ruin it for everybody. But just as fine wines persist in spite of the popularity of jug varieties, hopefully fine tea will survive, too.

And with good news like that, you should lurk less and post more often! <g>
