>>This country is in deep economic doo doo. Far worse than we have ever experienced before. <<

Definitely agree.

It takes a revolution<g> to emerge a powerful leader who can lead the US out of this. But since the US has never had any tradition in revolution, so seems to me that the problem is hard to solve. The ones who are really going to suffer are not baby boomer generation, but their children and grand children.

Great post...Shouldn't we hire a CEO for our country that knows how to lead with integrity and honesty...? Who will tell the American people what they really need to hear...? Some tough decisions need to be made in order to effectively manage our defecits, preserve our environment and deal with terrorism in a multi-lateral way. Are we willing to partner with other countries to solve global problems or will we continue to antagonize our allies ?

Bush does not impress me at all...He is providing us with 'Enron-style management'...No transparency and accountability from this government. It may be time for regime change in Washington.

The major problem is that neither as a candidate, nor even today, does Busch fully recognize, acknowledge, nor attempt to bring any real leadership to bear on the issue

Another school of thought is that there is little that the president, regardless of party, could do to change the inevitable course of economy.

Maybe he does recognize that we are in an economic crisis, but also recognizes that any intervention in the natural process of the bear market will only extend the economic crisis.
