My reasoning for saying that is that the talking heads are hoping that the estimates are actually hit this time. If they are, the market is trading at 18X earnings. That number goes up fast if earnings are not there.

I am still exiting every day in cash these days.

I think you have the key. The Q numbers aren't really what is going to determine the direction of the market. What will determine the direction is if there is more buyers out there waiting to deploy their money. If not, then we top out and, as you say, the selling comes later.
