croc,

Re: Unfortunately, it doesn't take too much imagination to see that scenario coming down the pipes in the not-so-distant future.

That's right. Michael Klare, an academic at the Univ. of New Hampshire has written a book called "Resource Wars", which is exactly what we are faced with in the future.

What the Bushies are doing is totally immoral. Not to mention illegal. I get moments of dread when I read the planning documents, such as PNAC's "Rebuilding America's Defenses"

raytal.com

They talk in there about America's new frontier in the Middle East, and in a really creepy passage, discuss using bio-warfare based on genotype. When SARS came up, many, including me, speculated that they may have put their plan into action. The SARS episode is currently getting big press coverage in Nigeria, where it is considered a U.S. Department of Death project. They may not be wrong.

The other outrageous document is the "National Security Strategy of the United States". That's a recipe for naked aggression.
