Nadine, 3 months of quiet will be welcomed on the Palestinian side too. After three months of quiet perhaps they wont want Hamas to move back to terrorism and reoccupation. During this time hopefully hamas will get that message and concentrate on the political side of things. Small steps sure, but there is nothing automatic in the cease fire ending in a hail of bullets. An extension could be the solution. Anyway if it is bullets the US will be firmly on israels side and Hamas will be decimated once and for all. There is no quartet--just the US and this is not lost to izzies, pals and even the terroristas. mike
