>>> There is something else, also: it's obvious the defendants think personal responsibility vs. "blaming others" is a key defense. Well, no one in my family has ever sued anyone - EVER. I was mowed down by a taxi driver on my way to work in downtown Washington in 1990, was taken away in an ambulance, have had pains in my upper back to this day as a result - and I did not sue. Now most of you realize I could have - many people would. But I did not. I sue now because this is a horrendous betrayal, and not just a one-time thing but an ongoing fraud scheme that lasted years and destroyed thousands. <<<

Way back in the mid-1960s when I was around 14, someone's sidewalk had a big gap in it and I badly twisted my ankle, but limped home and did not sue. These days though, I sometimes regret that decision, because the older I become the more the old injury comes back... Hopefully it will not be like that in your case.
