Thanks Michael: Thought it was the title and should have known it was Etta. See the jazz special (last week on PBS) about artist excellence vs addiction/drugs? Makes one wonder: Did heroin/junk possibly tune up the talents of so many; or in sadistic manner, only steal the continued excellence of the artists from us all. Perhaps overcoming an addiction for a period of time can allow an artist to perform in a more robust manner. Sure is one hell of a price to pay, though; when an addict falls back into using again.
