Ho ho ho- Marty Whitman talking up one of the four horsemen? Mr Whitman has no objection to traditional growth stocks as long as he can buy them cheaply. At the moment he favours component manufactures such as AVX and Kemet - bought at close to book value while trading at only three to four times peak earnings -and Sun Microsystems, where he calculates cash exceeds liabilities. search.ft.com Hmmm, a quick glance at Yahoo's balance data doesn't confirm the assertion... must be some sort of misreporting?
