There are rumors that Amgen (as always) is looking to buy the company because of ABX-EGF.

To be treated as suspect until the offer is on the wire. Amgen may very well like to gain full access to ABX-EGF, but they would also risk to lose most of ABGX's development customers, who would be less than happy to let Amgen have a close look at their development plans. They could use the plant, though.
