FDR was in a wheelchair. He served as Secretary of Navy, I believe. Johnson also served in the Navy.

There is some question about Bush 1 and his personal courage in bailing out and leaving his crew to crash while piloting his plane in the South Pacific. I always wondered about how they got a film camera there when he was fished out of the ocean.

Bush 1 was supposed to have some National Guard Duty assignment in Texas but I believe the drug test made him nervous and he said "Don't bring it on." or something of that nature

President BUsh 1 committed troops to Somalia shortly before the end of his first and only term with out a plan. President Clinton responded to the public outcry when our troops were slaughtered. THe major problem at the time was that there was no planning done by President Bush
NO OBJECTIVE
NO STRATEGY
NO TACTICs
and no commitment or Exit Strategy since ther was no definition of success.
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
