Agreed. But do you also agree that a so-called 'jobless' recovery would not be a 'success'? I know a good number of people who have lost jobs here in Silicon Valley. We have been particulary hard hit; probably because tech always exaggerates the highs and lows. However, recently, some of these acquaintences have begun to find jobs. So, although I am currently more pessimistic about the short term, maybe we'll see business start to loosen the purse strings. I believe it will be a key for Bush in 2004. I do not believe a 100% patriotic theme will work for him; he needs some economic success or he will go the way of his father.
