I admire your forbearance, Neocon, but really, what's the point? This is starting to resemble that Monty Python sketch where the customer complains, "I didn't come here for abuse, I came for an argument". Except that you are never answered "Right, you've got the wrong room. This room is for abuse."

Yeah, yeah. Why don't you run through the "despise, not hate" "nuance" thing once more for old time's sake. And I'm the smarmy one? Personally I associate smarminess more with sanctimony than with sarcasm.

Republicans are really odd. They preach and practice hatred pretty much interchangeably. Disagree with Rummy's war schemes, and you're guilty of partisan hatred, or you actually "hate America" even. Disagree with W's tax cuts for rich people as a domestic cure-all, and you're guilty of class hatred. But spew all you want about "liberals", "leftists", or Democrats in general, that's presumably a more sacred form of hatred.
