The solution WAS the SC making a different ruling. The solution now would be a constitutional amendment- but I doubt either side of the aisle would go for it (unless they thought they were in immediate danger of such a suit) and if they were in such danger, the other side wouldn't be interested in the amendment. Civil actions, not related to the office of the president, are now a tool to ruin the political process in this country- we will see this again.
