Marcos, Londres and London, Rome and Roma have some similarity, but I have been bamboozled by Firenze and Florence, Anvers and Antwerpen, Lurk and Leige. At least they have the same first letter. If they all just spoke english, or even american, it would be so much easier. It must be time for a language revolution. Mqurice

I guess we all have our rights to name places the way we feel like.

LOL.. marcos... you could see it if the original was too hard to pronounce or something in a land where we can't even pronounce Mario Lemieux properly after all that elementary school French? Let alone a name like Claude Lemieux getting it from both ends... You know Mario Lemiu and Clod Lemiu.... edit Maurice will tell you that this is the efficiency of english BTW didn't Los Angeles used to be pronounced differently in the past in the common parlance ? As a fan of old movies I often hear it differently... more correct ?
