We have always talked stock and politics on this thread because they go hand in hand. I mostly lurk. Been here since day one and enjoy it a lot. I have a son in south Baghdad as we speak and they are under constant threat, don't know their enemy, don't know who's friendly, few interpreters so language is a problem. Water in short supply. And so it goes. There doesn't seem to be a plan as how to get things up and running. As we train the Iraqis to be policemen, there are no laws, no courts, so even if the locals had control they still couldn't be in control. So, I'm sorry if this isn't your cup of tea anymore, however, the real world interplays directly with our discussions. Find a new site if our stance bothers you. Or better yet, tell us your views, we are fairly open-minded people.
