Maybe so but it was posted to D.Ray and it was over an issue we had discussed......but you're probably right.

As for Israel/Palestine, IMO finding peace will have less to do with any one person and more to do with the two peoples involved.

Not if there is a third party, including us, who is deeply involved.


What are we going to do to be deeply involved? The best we can do, and its not insignificant, is withhold aid from Israel. However, having said that, that still doesn't mean Sharon will listen to us. He's blown off Bush in the past and he's capable of doing it in the future.

I buy the theories posed by Jimmy Mac and Mani. The dual prospects of withdrawing aid to Israel and unleashing Sharon might be making both sides of the conflict more willing to negotiate.

I think those actions will help but again, its the majority of the Israeli and Palestinian peoples who will ultimately decide if peace is possible. Until recently, they were not looking for peace.
